The Masquerading Angels Ball is Back: Get Your Tickets Today!

Are you ready for a night of glamour, filled with live music, hors d’oeuvre, professional casino tables, and more? CDH International is hosting the Masquerading Angels Ball again this year—and it’s the perfect chance to enjoy a great night for a worthwhile cause!

Still haven’t purchased your ticket or wondering more about the work CDH International does? We’ve got everything you need to know, right here.

The Cause

A baby.

While the glitz and glam of the night will certainly be memorable, the most important aspect of the event is the cause it’s dedicated to. CDH (or congenital diaphragmatic hernia) is categorized as a rare disease, but it’s occurrence rate is the same as cystic fibrosis and spina bifida—affecting around 1,600 babies every year. While CDH doesn’t have quite the name recognition as other conditions, CDH International has made it their mission to promote awareness and raise funds for those affected.

The charity was started back in 1995 by Dawn Ireland, who had a baby boy diagnosed with CDH two years prior. Back then, there weren’t support groups or online resources—it was just Dawn, an old typewriter, and a small group at her kitchen table.

Now, thanks to her hard work and the help of the internet, CDH International works with 6500 patients across 70 countries and is working on gaining non-profit status!

The Details

A masquerade ball.

This year’s ball is happening on Saturday, October 12th, and doors open at 6:30pm. We’ll be hanging out at the prestigious City Club Raleigh, a stunning venue right in the heart of downtown. Make sure you dress the part for the soirée—it’ll be a black tie/black dress affair, so formal attire is required!

As far as festivities go, you can expect a jam-packed evening filled with live music from Suicide Blonde, professional casino tables, silent auction items, tons of photo backdrops, and more. You can also fill up on heavy hors d’oeuvres, and grab your martini (shaken, not stirred) from the cash bar.

An added bonus: each ticket includes one free drink, as well as $50 in poker chips to get you started. If you haven’t purchased your ticket yet, there’s still time!
